Nesting. ♥ Home Inspiration

EN. I wish I had more time for myself, right now. A cuddle for my body and my soul. A crazy round of shopping at the sales, maybe in Paris, that I know by heart and I don't know at all. Instead, here I am, running with black patent shoes and working girl outfits to the station, or in the European Commission hallways, or on the elevators of the European Parliament. rying to hide that stain of peach wood spray that goes so well on my Louis XIV chair, but not so well on my wrist. That's why right now I find myself spending so much more time in embassys and consulates, DIY and second hand shops, looking for that something that will come and talk to me, for that old cherry tree shelf that will tell me about where it was on a rainy afternoon of so many years ago. And why I haven't been at my favorite shops in a while, or I haven't had time for my beloved books, or to breathe in the scent of air full of rain in my adored woods.

A new home. A new job. A new adventure. But always with you.

Autumn Child

EN. Skirts get longer, heads get covered. Gloves can already be spotted, as can be the first cheeks made rosy by the wind of the season. We cover up with wool, feathers and cachemire. It's fall going to winter, silhouettes growing softer and fabrics copying the shades of the trees that look as if they were on fire. Colours and patterns that had been forgotten and deprecated now are back in our closets, to dress us with warm allures of the past. Ethereal shades remind us that winter must be faced with delicacy. That camel coat bought last year, the cream-coloured scarf knitted by a lovely grandmother. An asymmetric-cut pull hugging our form, a warm cocoon that will keep us safe and warm until spring; this is the delicate art of cocooning. These are the autumn and winter that I feel closer to me, far from the maddening sight of stars and snake prints; the kind of autumn that picks a walk in the woods over a streaming video of the fashion week. A slice of cake and a hot tea in my favourite salon de thé, maybe with a book that speaks to my soul and some music played on an old record player over the umpteenth pretentious defilé on shopping street to the rhythm of some commercial pop music. Call me old school, but I may only be a vintage soul.
