Do it in Paris #1 : Breakfast in America

.Dopo qualche mese che ci vivo, e dopo averla visitata diverse volte, mi sento in grado di dispensare consigli sulle cose belle da fare in quel di Parigi. Se ci siete già stati (ma anche no), e avete voglia di fare qualcosa di diverso che la fila per salire sulla Tour Eiffel, magari posso darvi qualche spunto!
.In questa edizione di Do it in Paris, non facciamo nulla di parigino. Vi porto a colazione (anzi, a brunchare) in America!
.Si, lo so che Tokyobanbaho vi porta a colazione in luoghi di un certo livello, ebbene io no. Tiè. Sono una povera stagista, non so se mi spiego.
.Di Breakfast in America ce ne sono due, entrambi super carini ed entrambi minuscoli e affollati (preparatevi a fare la fila). Sono specializzati nella Nobile Arte della Colazione Cicciosa Americana. Se di solito in settimana servono anche una compilation di hamburger, il weekend, e soprattutto la domenica, da B.I.A. si parla di brunch. Di brunch di un certo livello, anche.
.Non troverete fotografie meravigliose del posto; per quello vi affido al loro sito. Perchè? Beh, semplicemente perchè quando ti mettono davanti al naso porzioni immense di scrambled eggs & co, la location passa in secondo luogo. Posso assicurarvi, però, che l'arredamento rende giustizia al nome del posto. (Le boyfriend ha ora l'esigenza fisica di procurarsi un casco da football americano come soprammobile).
.Quanto al menù del brunch, si possono scegliere diverse combinazioni: diversi tipi di omelettes, oppure uova strapazzate, all'occhio, sausages, ham steak, bacon... per passare poi alla scelta fatale tra pancakes e sciroppo o un muffin, yogurt e cereali. Il tutto è condito da una bottomless mug di caffé americano fumante (il che significa caffé infinito) e da un bicchierone di succo d'arancia.
.P.S. Non ho corso su per le scale del Sacré-Coeur in stile Rocky, per smetterla di colpevolizzarmi. Anzi, sono andata a caccia di cupcakes. Vergogna.

.Yes, I know that Tokyobanbaho treats you to breakfast in places of a certain level, well I do not. Ha. I am a poor intern, if you see what I mean.
.There are two Breakfast in Americas, both super cute and both tiny and crowded (get ready to wait in line). They specialize in the Noble Art of Fat American Breakfast. If during the week they also provide a wide range of burgers, on Sunday BIA is all about brunch. Brunch of a certain size, too.
.You will not find beautiful photos of the place, and for that I commend you to their site. Why? Well, simply because when I had my nose in front of huge portions of scrambled eggs & Co, my attention was diverted on other issues than the venue. I can assure you, however, that the decor does justice to the name of the place. (Le boyfriend has now a physical need to put his hands on an american football helmet -as an ornament).
.As for the brunch menu, you can choose different combinations: several types of omelets or scrambled eggs, sausages, ham steaks, bacon ... then move on to the fateful choice between pancakes and syrup, or a muffin, yogurt and cereals. The whole thing is topped off with a bottomless mug of coffee (which means endless coffee) and a glass of orange juice.
.P.S. I did NOT run on the stairs of the Sacré-Coeur Rocky-style in order to stop feeling guilty. Instead, I went cupcakes hunting. Shame on me...

FR. . Je suis ici depuis quelques mois, et je me sens maintenant capable de fournir des conseils sur les choses à faire à Paris. Si vous y avez déjà été (ou pas), et que vous voulez faire autre chose que la file pour monter sur la tour Eiffel, peut-être je peux vous donner quelques idées!

.Oui, je sais que Tokyobanbaho vous fait faire le petit-déjeuner dans des 5 étoiles, bon, mais moi pas. Ha. Je suis une pauvre stagiaire quoi.
.Il ya deux Breakfast in America, les deux mignons et super minuscules et surpeuplés (préparez-vous à attendre). Ils se spécialisent dans l'Art Noble du Gras Petit Déjeuner Américain. Si au cours de la semaine ils fournissent également une large gamme de hamburgers, le dimanche BIA est tout pour le brunch. Brunch d'une certaine taille, en fait.
.Vous ne trouverez pas de belles photos de l'endroit, pour ça je vous recommande à leur site. Pourquoi? Eh bien, tout simplement parce que quand j'ai eu mon nez devant d'énormes portions d'œufs brouillés & Co, mon attention a été détournée sur des questions autres que le lieu. Je peux vous assurer, cependant, que le décor fait justice au nom de l'endroit. (Le boyfriend a maintenant un besoin physique de mettre ses mains sur un casque de football américain-comme ornement).
.Comme pour le menu brunch, vous pouvez choisir différentes combinaisons: plusieurs types de omelettes ou oeufs brouillés, saucisses, steaks de jambon, bacon ... pour passer ensuite à la sélection fatidique entre pancakes et sirop, ou un muffin, yogourt et des céréales. Le tout est agrémenté d'une tasse de café sans fond (café sans fiiiin) et un verre de jus d'orange.
. P.S. Je n'ai pas couru l'escalier du Sacré-Coeur Rocky-style, afin de cesser de me sentir coupable. Au lieu de cela, je suis allé chasser cupcakes. Honte sur moi ...
