"The snowdrop and primrose our woodlands adorn, and violets bathe in the wet o' the morn."
En. By February the skies of Belgium have covered all the shades of gray normally present in nature. Even my wardrobe has long given up the fight against la grisaille, to adapt to a cold palette that fits the mood of poor Europe, still under a thick coat of frost. And just when you stop believing that spring will return, and just when even the pale rays of sunlight that filter ever so often through the blanket of clouds can not warm your heart anymore, and even when, as now, a sparse and thin snow falls and melts to the ground, here's the ultimate proof that spring, however, is just around the corner. Timid bunches of snowdrops giving me a craving for biscuits that only an Italian can understand.
