Get lost ♥ Chunky knit and classic trench

giulesss, trench benetton, chunky knitwear, rayban havana, ombre hair

EN. Brussels is a city that should be discovered by mistake. There is no better way to fall in love with it than to let fate take the upper hand. Choose to walk when you miss the subway, or get off the tram at a stop that is not yours, all because of to that particular who has you bewitched. Guides and apps are not necessary, in Brussels. Living it is a game, a run from a porch to another, from the door of a shop to another, seeking shelter from the rain. Or lying in a park, dazzled by that insolent shade of green, in one of those rare moments of light and sun.

And that's how Quentin and I venture between known and unknown ways. With sunglasses in a pocket, and an umbrella in the bag.

A piccole dosi, chiaramente.

EN. It is when everything is wrapped in the soft breath of the brisk breeze, when temperatures fall, when the days get shorter and the evening sky is tinged with purple hues that Brussels gives the best of itself. Fiery sunrises that make you dream of a day of pale sunshine, resulting instead in rather damp, gray, rainy days. Even the rain has a special charm in the fall and winter of Brussels. In small doses, of course. But the real people of Brussels know how to enjoy life. They know the value of walking holding hands in the Parc de Bruxelles in the timid rays of afternoon sun. They understand the complicity of sharing a very long scarf, or a very small umbrella. They know the the best places to take shelter on the long rainy afternoons. The girls of Brussels know that going out with a dress on a rainy day can make you feel a rebel (who said you have to dress for the weather?), or that wearing a skirt in a sunny day is a small celebration, a silent thanks to this autmn, the milder and nicer autumn in years. Since I have become a bit a girl of Brussels myself, I have been
initiated to the secret little pleasures of life in Belgium. And I could never do without them, now.

I was wearing:
Armani vintage woolen blazer,
Pull and Bear dress worn as skirt,
Zara pull,
Ray Ban glasses,
Casio watch,
Primark satchel bag.

Do it in Paris #4: L'à priori thé - Galerie Vivienne

.Yesterday it was raining, a lot. Then for about five minutes it would get incredibly hot and sunny, and then it would rain again. Staying at home was out of the question, and that's where the little wonders of Paris come to the rescue.
.You see, near Bourse (Métro Bourse that is), there is this lovely 19th century gallery, called galerie Vivienne. It is heaven. Or something very close to that :)
.Here you will find, in addition to an idyllic, picturesque architecture, one of the best (and, currently, my favorite) salons de thé in the whole of Paris: L'à priori thé (got it? :D). It is renowned for its scones, for its scented teas, and generally for its home made exquisite patisserie. It is quiet, lovely, charming, just like the waitresses (who make the perfect portrait of the Parisian girl stereotype in my head), and, a rare thing in this city, no one is jumping on you as soon as you finished your plate practically asking you to leave and make room. This is a temple of quiet and tranquility, an ideal rainy Saturday afternoon's abode, that reminded me a lot of my beloved A.M. Sweet in Bruxelles. And the scones (home made and served warm) are to die for.
.I went there with le boyfriend (who else), and we shared a two-scones plate, served with their cream and home made marmalades in a lovely tea service (7E) and a teapot of green tea "Cerisier de chine avec petales de rose rouge" (5,50E for about two cups each). As the Francophones say, une tuerie.
.With your newly found zen, take a stroll in the gallery; you will finde a bouquiniste (a second hand book shop which the bookwarm in me adored), and fashion designers, home decor, alternative toy shops, art galleries... yes, all things cool and branchées.

Le A priori thé is at 35, Passage Vivienne, and the closest subway station is Bourse.
